A.L.L. workshop at the 8th Australasian Conference on Personality and Individual Differences

The A.L.L. research team members were invited to run a workshop on their unique approach to accelerated learning at the 8th Australasian Conference on Personality and Individual Differences.

The workshop was well received and present an interactive hands-on overview of the A.L.L.'s approach. Emphasis was given to the assessment and development aspects, such as the on-going longitudinal assessment and feedback using a combination of traditional psychometric and dynamic assessments, computer-based complex problem solving, and micro-world simulations.

ALL welcomes ABC as Industry Partner

The ALL is pleased to welcome the ABC as its newest Industry Partner. The Australian Broadcasting Association, with the key sponsorship of Mark Scott, will be sending through its first 'Class of '08' in a few months. These individuals will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills, and self-insights to further their capability to fill key leadership roles within the organisation.

The program has a practical business focus and develops leadership skills for real management challenges.

In this article two of our pioneering participants from IAG, Julie Mavraidis and Stephen Everett, were interviewed on their experiences in the program so far. In the long term residential program that Julie and Stephen are taking part in, the strong focus is on the lab as a learning environment - a place to experiment with different style and techniques, to test out new ideas, and to challenge yourself. In business, the opportunity to experiment is limited by the need to succeed, meaning that many learning opportunities are not utilised and pass people by. Julie and Stephen both point to aspects of the program they found immediately applicable to their work environments.
